1. Toboggan ride

Toboggan ride from Monte to Livramento is about 2km long tour full of excitement. Monte, originally designed by “Our Lady of the Monte”, is a Portuguese parish of the county of Funchal and its population is about 7 000 inhabitants. The central zone of Monte is in the area of Largo da Fonte and by the area. In this area, you will find the famous church “Nossa Senhora do Monte”, the initial point of the traditional Toboggan with basket carts, the magnificent gardens of Monte and the old railway station. Originally a kind of transport for people living in Monte down to Funchal.

2. Diving

Diving in Madeira is a special place for those who love diving. Not only it has crystal mild waters – with 18°C in winter and 22°C in summer – but also a great variety of fauna and flora in its seas. The main diving spots are in “Reserva Natural do Garajau” and “Baixa da Cruz”. In Garajau natural reserve, one can watch big size fish, as sea bass, that can be fed by hand. When diving in the waters you can see dolphins, amberjack, whiting, bogue, damselfish, ray, moray, wrasse, barracuda, salema and many other species…

3. Paragliding

Paragliding in Madeira is exceptional because you float above the beautiful countryside and over the Atlantic Ocean. There are many great locations scattered all over the Island. Good to take-off and landing areas makes it a truly unique experience! For example; Pico da Cruz, Ponto da Cruz, Chão da Lagoa, Lamaceiros, Canhas, Arco da Calheta, Prazeres, Raposeira, Fajã da Ovelha, Ponta do Pargo, Bica da Cana, Paul da Serra, Juncal, Cristo Rei, Rabaçal, Pico Gordo and Fanal.
